Mica is my name and also the name for "mica," a rock-forming mineral found in many natural stones. So, if something glitters on the ground, that's mica. And that's how the name "Micart" came about, meaning "mica art."
By silver-plating these natural materials, I give them a new meaning. They become pieces of jewelry, and their form is thus immortalized. Especially special are those unique pieces that have a story to tell: shells, leaves, flowers, or buds from a trip, your wedding, or that you found in a very special place... I transform them into beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry that hold special meaning for you.

My main job is as a film and TV director. Telling stories, creating images, staging, evoking emotions... that has always fascinated me. And so I find all these elements in this special jewelry making. Only this time they aren't seen on the screen, but tangible, tactile... Because every piece of jewelry has its own story, evokes emotions, and is unique.
With great care, I handcraft these pieces of jewelry in my small studio. The silver I work with is sustainable, as it consists of 100% recycled silver. It's not always easy, because the plant-based materials are often very fragile and can warp or bend when they come into contact with the silver paste. And yet, I'm always amazed at how beautiful each piece of jewelry turns out after firing in the kiln.

It is a dance between the elements: natural materials, silver, water, air, and fire. By respecting these elements, which have belonged together since time immemorial, and allowing them to work in harmony, a unique piece of jewelry is created. And for this reason, I stand fully and completely behind this art.
